When God Calls You To Rest And Release

When God Calls You To Rest And Release

Firstly, I wanted to say thank you for faithfully opening these emails each week. If your inbox is anything like mine, it is probably already full in the morning when you wake up. As a team we are humbled and consider it an honor to get to speak into your life on a regular basis. Thank you for letting us into your whole life.

Secondly, I wanted you, our faithful weekly email readers, to know that I am going to be transitioning into a season of rest and release.

As a season of rest:
After seven years of sowing seeds into this ministry of Revelation Wellness, it’s time for me to take God at His Word and enter into rest as my full-time job for a time. Rest is not a suggestion. It is a directive from a loving Father who knows how life works best. I can’t wait to learn new things about my Heavenly Father as I slow down the day-to-day pace I’ve been operating in. I am excited to have this holy opportunity, and so thankful to everyone on my team who is making this possible and giving this gift to my family and myself.

As a season of release:
My first ever book The Wellness Revelation (formerly Weigh Less to Feed More) by Tyndale Publishing is set to release on August 8th. This season of rest I’m heading into will be essential to the healthy release of this work. This book that the Lord has allowed me to write is His message of freedom for the captives in the realm of health and fitness. I pray that it shakes the very foundations of fitness culture. God is inviting me into a season of rest before His good work reaches further.

He is going to go deeper in me in wonderful ways.
It is time for me to sit down longer for a day so that God can stand up for my whole life.

Here’s some great news: we will not be going radio silent on you. You will still be hearing from us through other God-singing, God-glorifying, no- turning-back followers of Jesus in our community. I can’t wait to read what God is teaching them as they share with you. I am looking forward to taking a spectator seat and applauding the goodness of the Lord in His land that is Revelation Wellness.

We also have many pre-recorded Revelation Wellness podcasts with me, that will be dripped out to you over the weeks to come. So be sure to subscribe to the podcast and plan on keeping your ears open over there as well. (If you are an Andriod user search ‘Revelation Wellness’ in the Podbean app.)

It is going to give me great joy to stand back and watch good work happen without me. You know something is a God thing and not your thing when the good work carries on without you.

All of this is a God thing.

And this rest thing is a going to be a good thing.

To kick off this season of rest and release, this week we release to you another Be Still and Be Loved podcast titled “Glory.” Consider joining me for 15-minutes of practicing rest like it’s your new get-to. It may feel uncomfortable at first, but that’s just your flesh learning how to cry it out before it falls asleep, so you Spirit can rise.

    BIG HUGS!

  2. Alisa, You are amazing! Thank you for being obedient and leading us all! I struggle to slow down so watching you take this bold step to rest is such a powerful encouragement to me. You are so loved. Praying for your time of rest and release.
    hugs,

  3. Blessings to you as you enter your season of rest. I know God has great things in store as you rest in Him and become stronger in Him.

  4. I think this is just what I needed to see first thing in the morning. Going through a painful and difficult transitional period and have been working myself to the bone, wearing myself thin. I think it’s time to remember to rest, breathe and leave it in His hands…

  5. Thank you Alisa for allowing God to do this study thru you to reach many! I was able to join a group of ladies for your study, which our daughter lead (with much prayer and support) and held at her church, The River in Holly Michigan. I say this, not because it is my daughter, altho because I am so proud that she was solely going on FAITH and totally stepped out of her comfort zone, (Yes just 1 week prior to the studies start date, almost backing out). And she had so many “easy reasons” to do just that… She just missed the deadline for a notification of the New Study at the time the list is usually printed in the Sunday Church bulletin handout, and also got left out the following week (accidentally) the week before it was to begin . At this point, a lot of people had already signed up for other studies… therefore leaving her to have thoughts that maybe she was not suppose to do the class.., and what if no body showed up, etc. She called me, and shared how much she had prepared and was ready to do this, but wondered if it was a sign “not to”? So I said I’m coming, and supported her to move forward, and let God decide the outcome, she couldn’t lose!!
Sorry, for the length… altho outcome: She did an amazing job, as God worked in & through her (and she always gave him the glory) and she had 8 ladies who consistently came, and about 4 that were off & on, when they could make it. Originally I had planned on only attending the first 2 or 3 in support, altho absolutely loved this study as I began to see how it was relevant at this stage of my life, resulting in me hating when I had to miss (lol).
So, I need to Once again convey the awesomeness of & amazing retreat/training she went thru to bring & show revelant God’s place is in Wellness is in this crazed world we live in that focuses on getting people hooked on thinking in 30 days your body will look like (should I say, a body builder who has trained for years, or the phrase, Eat anything you want and still loose weight) Oh my Gosh, do I hate those commercials!! Thank God for all the tireless hours, months, years, he allowed you to bring this forward… I cannot even Wrap my brain around. Blessings as you rest as He requires to bring more wonderful things to a very needy world.
    Standing in HIS promises; Linda

Thank you beloved for listening to God. Thank you for your heart. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for God’s glory and His Kingdom.
I can already see God scooping you up into His heavenly arms already and saying, “you did a good job”, now it’s time to rest for a season so that you can restore, refresh, recharge , and take care of you and your family.”
Alisa, please know that I, as well as so many others are praying for you as I’m sure you are taking time to be with your mom. Life is so precious.
    God Bless you,
    Christy

  9. Thank you for waiting on God, hearing His voice and responding with obedience and humility. I am so encouraged by this ministry. It has completely reoriented my life-heart, soul and mind.
I cannot wait to see what the next season brings as we continue to pursue Jesus day by day, from glory to glory.
May we see His kingdom come.
God Bless you and your family. ❤️Psalm 16

  10. Hope you are refreshed in your body & mind during your time of rest Alisa!
Great workout girls! Loved your Cardio Dance. Can you share your music playlist?

  11. Way to be obedient Alisa and take time for refreshment. Praying God fills you UP again. You are strong and mighty. Praying your time with Him heals and rebuilds any broken down walls, shines light into dark places, gives you full clarity and vision for the days to come. You are anointed and appointed sister. She RESTS but then she’ll RISE!

  12. Alisa,
Thank you for being an example of an obedient life. This is so timely for me as I have felt lately to work less and rest. Thank you for your faithfulness of encouraging and depositing into our lives God’s Word and showing us how to shine for Jesus.
May you rest in Him completely, be filled to overflowing and enjoy being in the present that He has already planned for you.
    Hugs, hugs and more hugs

  13. Oh how I love you and love that you are a shining example of our sweet Abba…..
It was so amazing to get to steal a few hugs from you at retreat. I will be lifting you up in prayer as you follow in obedenience. You will be missed for however long you are “gone” but I am so excited to see you get rejuiced with HIS love

  14. Thank you for ‘giving a name’ to the long season I have been in. I have been ‘called’ out of the workforce and blessed to have my adult children cover my living expenses… I tried to ‘get out of it’ but 3 life events have confirmed, plus years of fasting, praying, seeking.. confirmed. I am to rest in Him.

When He releases me to move forward, it will be time. until then I pray I learn to rest WELL.

Shalom sister, ‘silence IS golden’ and in His rest, it is quiet, peaceful and ‘golden’. He loves you and will direct your Every path.

    thanks for the post.

  15. I Am stirred beyond words at your mentioning of a season of REST. I thank our Lord that you have heard His call to rest, as I know great things happen as a result of resting in Him! I am praying for a resurgence of wisdom, strength, and skillful precision in ministering the GOSPEL to hearts that have been prepared to receive what the Lord has for those who have ears to hear, and eyes to see, and faith to be and do what we have been called to do: REVEAL THE PERSON OF OUR LORD JESUS (Mark 16:15-18)
