GET YOUR HOPES UP
Our hopes are not set on changing circumstances, an ideal body, or a more comfortable life. Our hopes are set on the risen Christ whose love never fails!
Key Points
We are not crippled under the weight of daily challenges, barriers, disappointment, rejection, or tough choices. It may not be easy, but we can get our hopes up because of Jesus’ victory over sin and death on the cross.
We can get our hopes up because of the Holy Spirit within us. We can get our hopes up because we are new creation people walking in the ways of Jesus!
No matter your body size, physical ability, or age, you are qualified to glorify God in all you do!
Because all things are fulfilled and found in Jesus, we do not have to strive to be the best or be anxious to control the world and people around us.
We are resurrection people, Easter people, revealing God’s light in the midst of darkness!
Scripture
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:8-10
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. ” 2 Corinthians 4:16
“Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:3
“Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Psalm 25:5
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Psalm 43:5
“Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest in hope, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy one see decay.” Acts 2:26-27
