We are excited to announce that on April 20th, 2013, Revelation Wellness is going to be expending some serious calories by serving at HopeFest Phoenix. Hopefest is a one day, joyful outreach event to the homeless and working poor. For one day, over 15,000 people are provided access to their basic needs for FREE! Dental work, medical check-ups, hair cuts, clothing, shoes, personal care products.. etc..all for FREE! Revelation Wellness is going to do what we do best; use the ministry of fitness, to remind people that they are made in God’s image; strong, capable and able people with limitless potential!
Most would assume that personal health & fitness is something people should tend to once they have their lives together. We couldn’t disagree more, and we are certain Jesus stands in agreement with us. He’s got our backs on this one! The truth is when we FEEL better, we are more aligned with DOING better.
We are inviting you to partner with us as we go and serve “the least of these.” Here’s how you can help:
1. DONATE – Our goal is to raise $2500 dollars by April 20th!
We are planning to do some quick and easy workouts with over 500 people, in just 7 hours time. Each person will go through a short 10 minute workout, that is specifically designed to be recreated at home, or in any open space. Upon completion of the workout they will receive an athlete’s reward; Celebration and a SWAG BAG of personal goods and practical necessities. Each bag will include
- Large Love>fear tote bag (bags are like gold for these precious people…think about it)
- Rubber bracelet that will daily remind them that Love>fear.
- Reusable collapsible water bottle
- Lip Balm
- Hand Sanitizer
- An Led Keychain Flashlight (Because they are the light of the world
- A laminated postcard with basic health and fitness tips they can do anywhere. Along with encouraging I AM statements from God’s words.
Each bag costs us $5 to create. You are invited to enclose your own personal message to be placed in each bag! How cool is that?! How many people would you like to give healthy & whole HOPE to?
