Prayer doesn't have to be complicated. Michelle shares simple prayers to connect with God throughout the day.

We complicate prayer. Prayer is simply a conversation between you and God.
Here are five simple prayers you can use today:
“Abba, I love you.”
In this simple prayer, take a deep breath in, eyes closed, and say “Abba.”
Looking upward, exhale, and say “I love you.”
When we pause to remember our adoration and love for God, we release tension. We reset our focus to God first.
“Jesus, show me the way.”
Inhale: “Jesus.”
Exhale: “Show me the way.”
When you question what you are doing or how you have gotten yourself into a situation, take a moment to pause. Breathe deep. Invite Jesus into the moment. Use your creative mind to see Him in your mind’s eye and invite Him to guide you.
Isaiah 30:21 says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’’
Jesus has gifted the Holy Spirit to His believers. The Holy Spirit guides us, teaches us, and even helps us remember what God says (John 14:26).
“Holy Spirit, You are welcome here.”
Inhale: “Holy Spirit.”
Exhale: “You are welcome here.”
I picture Holy Spirit moving through my mind, clearing the cobwebs of brain fog, and making room for me to remember. God loves to help us find things, remember things, and renew our minds.
“God, who has begun a good work in (enter name), bring it to completion in Jesus’ name.”
This is a simple prayer for a loved one, leader, or friend when you are not sure what else to pray. Philippians 1:3-11 is the complete prayer Paul prayed for the church of Philippi in thanksgiving and gratitude. We get to give thanks for others in prayer.
“God, would you do exceeding more than I can think or imagine in Jesus’ name.”
Lastly, one of my favorite prayers in the Bible is Ephesians 3:14-21. It’s a long prayer but is readily available on your phone or Bible. You can even choose one part to paraphrase into a prayer
Before You Go:
I leave you with this tip: take note of the prayers throughout the Bible.
Leave your Bible open to one of the prayers. You’ll find lots of prayers in the Gospels and Epistles. But don’t neglect the Old Testament! There are rich prayers waiting for you to read and receive there too.
Pray The Word. God delights in your voice. Give thanks. Be still. Listen. Then petition. He loves you coming to BE with Him at any time of day.
In the comments, share Scriptural prayers you love to pray!
