“I had a terrible habit of getting stuck in my feelings and then running to other people for comfort or affirmation. When I felt sad or angry or insecure, I would rely on others to build me up or validate me. The problem was, people could never fill the longings of my heart or heal the broken places. RW taught me to slow down and notice my feelings. I learned how to sit with them and then take them to the Lord first, the only one who satisfies.”
“I thought somehow that it was noble to neglect myself in the name of ‘serving others.’ I didn’t take time for myself, my health… just pushed and pushed. Since my RevWell training, I have learned to rest. To take time to think. To listen to my thoughts and my body. To pay attention to what I consume. I have encouraged others to slow down as well.
