Writing is a powerful tool to help you curb anxiety and depression, get unstuck from patterns that hold you back, and build contentment and clarity.
Why is the infinity prompt effective?
1. It is research-based– Research shows expressive writing is the most effective way to spend your time writing. Expressive writing is simply expressing your deepest thoughts and feelings through writing.
2. It is based on a therapeutic model called, the cognitive-behavioral model. Though it is limited, the cognitive-behavioral model “focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions (e.g. thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes) and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.” (Wikipedia)
The Infinity prompt is designed to get you in tune with your thought life and help you separate facts from your subjective thoughts.

– Write about the situation in three parts:
1. First, write about what happened like a journalist. Stay with the facts and separate from your emotion.
2. Second, list your emotions about the situation.
3. Write your thoughts about the situation.
Consider this sentence starter: The story I’m telling myself about this is…

This journal is for the person who believes that with God anything is possible but recognizes the need for intentionality. Each day you’ll be prompted to write the Word and soak in the Word, reflect, list things you’re grateful for, your top to-dos, and what you need for your mind, emotions, soul, and body.
