Walking the Words of Jesus

For 21 days, you’ll bring your body and your mind closer to God as you journey through the words of Jesus. Each day you’ll walk and pray through scripture with an audio recording as your guide. With each daily walk only 20 minutes long, you can easily fit them in any time throughout your day!

Key Points

For 21 days we will be a community of people walking and praying

As we walk we’ll hear songs and intentions to guide us through the Words of Jesus

We want to get people back to the basics of the gift of movement and the presence of God

Each walk is approximately 20 minutes: after-dinner walks, lunchtime walks, early morning walks – you can easily fit in 20 minutes. You won’t get all sweaty, so it’s not going to interfere with what you’re doing that day!

We want to offer a starting place or on-ramp that’s a more accessible option for those who are at a fitness level where they are starting out.

For those prone to overtrain and obsess about fitness, this program will help them slow down, get into their body, pray, and move simply for the joy of moving!

There is a place for everyone, from beginners to advanced.

We want people to come back to movement for movement’s sake – the simple gospel.

The ability to simply go for a walk just to be in our bodies is a gift – we don’t have to earn anything with our movement.

Scripture

“They said to each other, ‘Weren’t our hearts burning within us while he was talking with us on the road and explaining the Scriptures to us?’ That very hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem.” Luke 24:32-33

“Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” John 2:1-11

“Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented.” Matthew 3:13-15

“Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.” John 5:2-9

Taking this starting assessment is a powerful first step on your journey toward growth and transformation. Think of it as a pin on a map—it shows you where you are right now in mind, body, and spirit. This tool is about awareness, not judgment. It doesn’t define you or your worth; it’s simply a way to understand your starting point so you can create a purposeful plan for where you want to go. Remember, you are a good body, beautifully made by God, exactly as you are today. This is about building on that foundation with love and intention.
