This month we reflect on God’s faithfulness throughout history and in the generations of our families and communities.

Key Points

We are a people of prayer. Actively praying for Jesus to reign in the lives of our kids, neighborhoods, churches, spouses, friends, etc.

Our faithfulness to God does not depend on our marital status. Single, married, divorced, or widowed, we serve God with joy and humility.

We can be faithful to God in every stage of life – grade school, college, young adult, middle age, and above.

We teach our kids and their kids about the faithfulness of God so His name can be praised for generations.

Our service to God doesn’t stop at retirement. God is our strength and salvation at every age.

We fight for generational chains to be broken.

We are not discouraged by our aging bodies. We recognize these changes as invitations to be faithful to God in new ways.

We train the next generation in God’s faithfulness.

Scripture

“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

“Even to your old age I will be the same, And even in your graying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you.” Isaiah 46:4

“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:7

“And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.” Genesis 17:7

“The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, ‘The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.’” Exodus 34:5-7

“But Jesus called them to him, saying, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.’” Luke 18:16-17

“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Genesis 28:15

“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.” 1 Corinthians 7:17

“Nicodemus said to him, ‘How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?’” John 3:4

Quotes

“What if we started referring to singleness as a route. We are all going the same direction toward Jesus, just on a different route. No one is ahead and no one is behind.” Melissa Zaldivar, Things We Need to Stop Saying to Single People Pt. 2, IG

“God casts a rich vision for growing old—one Christians should champion in a world that fears, fights, and attempts to hide aging.” Jason Thacker, “Our World Wants to Transcend Aging. Christians Should Embrace It.” TGC.

“God knows our days, so let Him be the boss of them! We do not have an expiration date stamped on us saying we are too old.” Teresa Martin, “3 Tips to Grow Older with Grace,” RW Blog.

“In the call to make disciples everywhere and to teach Christ’s commandments entirely, we can be absolutely sure that this imperative includes those disciples we will make in our own homes.” Adam Griffin, “10 Things You Should Know About Family Discipleship,” Crossway.

Far from being unloved, unchosen, and undesirable, single Christians are treasured by God with a steadfast love that never ceases… Contentment with our singleness isn’t a status that we arrive at and then bask in for the rest of our lives. It’s something we depend on the Lord for each day.” Rachel Jones, “Can you be content with singleness today?” Desiring God.

Taking this starting assessment is a powerful first step on your journey toward growth and transformation. Think of it as a pin on a map—it shows you where you are right now in mind, body, and spirit. This tool is about awareness, not judgment. It doesn’t define you or your worth; it’s simply a way to understand your starting point so you can create a purposeful plan for where you want to go. Remember, you are a good body, beautifully made by God, exactly as you are today. This is about building on that foundation with love and intention.
